Get into the field with the skills to harvest a successful hunt
Education Weekend (Group)
Hosted in the central west slopes of NSW, the Beginner Hunter Education course assemblies on-site the afternoon prior for a 2 full day course designed to provide new hunters the essential firearm and hunting skills needed to get their hunting journey underway.
The course will cover everything from firearm ownership and safety, through to species availability, hunting techniques, shot placement and processing your harvest. We will also explore how to prepare and plan for your future hunts through discussing the nice to haves and must haves in your pack, state forest hunting, private land hunting plus so much more.
Once the theory is out of the way, you will observe a guided hunt with us in which the course facilitator will harvest multiple meat animals. Now it’s time to get your hands dirty! You’ll then learn how to gut, skin, and butcher an animal correctly, getting hands-on along the way. You will also get plenty of your own meat to take home to cook for yourself.
Participants wont need bring their rifles as only guides will shoot however, there will be plenty of opportunities to practise stalking game just for fun.
If you own a bow, bring it along for some target practice.

In our last event, we had a great weekend with another awesome group! Hunting goats in the pouring rain was the highlight and as one of the participants said "we've done it in the worst conditions so it's only sunshine from here!".
Knot tying, basic survival, tracking game, game identification, shooting positions, shot placement and actually being able to participate in a goat hunt were just some of the topics that were covered.

This course is a 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 guided trophy hunt hosted in the central west slopes of NSW with a strong educational focus where you get to hunt and harvest 2 animals. Goats, pigs and deer are all available, pending the current season.
